Jenny

Overjoyed at the birth of what would become our most successful Scottie to date, we are pleased to introduce the stunning, GCH CH Afterglows Miss Jenny Lind ROM. Jenny!

Jenny earned the 17 points toward her AKC Championship in just two weekends, and at 17 months old, she was Best of Breed over some of the nation’s top Specials. She was Best of Breed at the St. Boniface / St. Louis Dog Show and Best of Opposite at the Montgomery County Kennel Club Dog Show. Jenny won 33 points toward her Grand Championship, including a Group 4 at the Medina Kennel Club Dog Show. She earned her Register of Merit for producing six champions. Jenny was beautifully handled by Gretchen to her Championship and to Grand Championship by Santiago Pinto (GCH, Group 4).

Jenny is very special to us. Her beauty and her persona inspired us to embark on a journey that we never thought we would take. This is the face of Afterglow Kennels. We are so proud of her. She is reserved and proper, of course, being a proper Scottie, but a proper Scottie with a big heart. She is one of the finest AKC dogs of merit that we have ever owned. We are very happy to have her as our little girl and look forward to her future with us.

In the fall of 2011, at about one year of age, Jenny began showing in the conformation ring. She went to her first Specialty with Brenda Elliott (she handled Jenny for the first time). The only thing Jenny did was win: she swept all three Best of Breed competitions at the Scottish Terrier Club of New England, the Scottish Terrier Club of Greater Dayton, and the Scottish Terrier Club of America. At the age of 22 months, Jenny was Best of Opposite Sex at the STCA National Specialty under esteemed judges Dorothy Collier and Janet Tomlinson.
